As a gender and sexualities scholar, I’m regularly involved in conversations about sex - especially in the classroom. I’ve grown used to conference tables with 10-15 people talking about sexuality, sex practices, BDSM, porn, and virtually everything else you can think of. Admittedly, it’s refreshing to have these conversations without the incessant giggling of high schoolers just discovering what sex is. There is a science of sexuality that has been around for a while. Though not without its faults.
As a bisexual person out in the world, though, it’s a lot more uncomfortable.
